Collective Vinyasa

Come one, come all! An accessible vinyasa flow open to beginners (who have started with Foundations classes) and seasoned yogis. Shed stagnation through the study of asana and pranayama. Modifications and deeper varieties will be offered so that you can make the practice most successful for yourself! Threads of different styles- Restorative, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Meditation will likely be woven into the sequence. No two classes will ever be alike. Leave feeling grounded in your body and clear in your mind.

Power Hour

It’s all in the name! Not suitable for first timers, this heated flow gives you the opportunity to turn doubt into security and stress into sweat.  Do I need to be able to crow, split or handstand for this class? NO! However, practitioners should have a secure sense of their personal yoga practice. One should know when its time to rest without being cued by the teacher and when it’s appropriate to go for it and try it out!

Foundations

Never been to yoga? Haven’t been in a while? Looking to refresh the basic foundations of Hatha yoga? In this class, you will learn how to silence your mind and still your body. We believe the only thing that exists is the now and the breath is the quickest vehicle for transport. Emphasis on cultivating breath awareness is a common study. Attendees will heighten self-awareness by absorbing alignment teachings. Shift your expectations into appreciation. Awareness without dullness is what it’s all about.

We are all born to move and we invite you to let your movement be a form of expression. Movement improves circulation and digestion, optimizes metabolism and immunity, lubricates joints and reduces stress. When we move with presence, we change our physiology and shift our reality. Grounded in Hatha yoga and functional movement, you’ll create strength and flexibility plus circulate pleasure with spinal undulations, meditation techniques and fun dynamic sequencing.

Primal Embodiment

Deep Stretch

In this class, you will have ample time to elongate the muscles, joints, fascia, and connective tissues of the body. With a yin like tone, this class will allow you to draw your attention inward, creating space and ease where you once felt stuck. With a consistent stretching practice, your hips and spine will especially begin to unlock, increasing your range of motion, alignment, posture, and overall health. This is an excellent class for those who are looking to marinate in the poses a little bit longer, often with the aid of support by props.

Supported Alignment

This Iyengar inspired class will aid in targeting and releasing congestion out of the body. Iyengar yoga is characterized by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment, while supporting yourself with props such as, backless yoga chairs, blankets, bolsters, straps and blocks, to aid in allowing beginners to experience the pose more fully. Therefore, with less muscular effort, the student will be able to focus your awareness on your pranayama (breathing) practice.

Unlike more experiential approaches where students are encouraged to independently "find their way" to the asanas, an Iyengar Yoga class is highly verbal and precise, with misalignments and errors actively corrected. The discipline is considered by its practitioners to be a powerful tool to relieve the stresses of modern-day life, in turn helping to promote total physical and spiritual well-being. If you are tired of living with the same aches and pains, this class is for you

Need to balance out your energetic map? This is the class for you. In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang is a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. The principle of Yin and Yang is that all things exist as inseparable and contradictory opposites, for example, female-male, dark-light and old-young. This specialty class is taught by Holly Pelletier, licensed and full time acupuncturist. A unique blend of meditation, pranayama, Chinese medicine, kundalini and iyengar inspired yoga. This class is sure to make you feel, sweat, and evolve.

Yin Yang
Yoga

Seva is a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service. It is an expression of compassion for others and a genuine desire to uplift those around you. Together, we will seek collective uplifting through the understanding of the needs of others and are based on togetherness and integration.

Through the spirit of selfless action, when we have nothing to gain and nothing to lose by not doing, performing acts of Seva through our actions, we attain that height of realization into a higher level of consciousness. The practice of Seva becomes a path to self-realization which is the essence of yoga.

Seva should be done with no expectation of reward or even acknowledgment of the work that is done. Make yourself invisible and do acts of kindness without expectation of return, coming from a place of love.

Due to the difficult times our dear friend and teacher, Kristin Bosteels is experiencing, every Sunday in September will be donation based classes will proceeds going straight to Kristin’s GOFUNDME. For the whole story, or to donate, please click on the “Specialty Classes” tab. Seva Gatherings for Kristin Bosteels

Open to all levels, this morning flow will give you the time to mindfully awaken the body so you leave feeling your best. Mindful movement and pranayama will aid in releasing stagnant energy that may be lingering. Consciously planting the seed of intention at the beginning of your day will allow you to continue your yoga study off of your mat, outside of the studio, proving that there is more to yoga than just asana study. Calling all early birds!
